Becoming a Good Baserunner Checklist
- Runs hard out of the box
- Runs out everything hard
- Looks for signs
- Understands proper running form
- Has good footwork
- Knows where ball is
- Knows how to slide safely
- Knows how many outs there are
- Runs hard with two outs until the coach stops him
- Knows when there is a force play
- Knows what to look for from pitchers on pickoff moves
- Measures a good leadoff
- Doesn't cross feet when leading off
- Gets a good secondary lead
- Gets a good jump stealing
- Knows when to advance to third from second
- Knows how and when to score from third on a ground ball
- Reads balls in dirt
- Freezes on a line drive
- Rounds bases well
- Can popup slide
- Knows when and how to tag up
- Knows what side of the base to slide on
- Knows where the outfielders are positioned
- Knows which outfielders they can run on
- Doesn't hesitate
- Can read ball off the bat
- Takes the extra base

- Does not stop before the play is finished
